Manna Mission
On the fourth Saturday of each month, we serve a free meal to anyone who wants a good meal in a friendly place. The meal is served from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of our church. The menu varies from month to month. We serve Chick Fil-A, pizza, chili, vegetable soup, casseroles and all kinds of good things.
Missionary Support
We are currently supporting missionaries in 2 countries.
Paul and Marty Laws are serving the Lord in the Central Congo and are affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Their work includes coordinating mission teams through United Methodist Volunteers in Mission; they are heavily involved in evangelism ministries and teaching ministries. The Laws work with children and are very excited about building the church in the Congo. If you would like to know more about their work, you can visit their web-site at http://appointmentcongo.org/index.html. UCV
United Christian Volunteers is a community help organization located in the Erlanger/Elsemere area that offers help of many kinds to the people of our community. There is a food pantry and clothing closet and furniture as well. Other help is also available. Our church collects canned goods each week for the food pantry. Many of our members volunteer time, and we support the mission with financial help as well.
Mission Trips
Every year we participate in a variety of mission projects such as IMPACT APPALACHIA and IMPACT KENTUCKY. These trips are organized and sponsored by the Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church, but our church, with churches all across the state, gather to do home repairs, construction, work with food programs, tornado cleanup and all kinds of things that make the world a better place.
Our Youth have also served on trips to work at our church camp for youth and children, Aldersgate Camp, and each year plan a mission trip so that they can ”give back” to the world.
